Our resident rescue cats are friendly, social and eager for your affection. We rescue cats from kill shelters and re-socialize them in a fun, clean and nurturing environment. Every cat deserves love, care and a home! Come relax with cats and offer your affection and support to a cat in need. Come in for a visit to decompress and enjoy our furry friends. The cats and kittens at KitTea Cat Cafe are always grateful for play and cuddle time with their human companions.

At KitTea Cat Cafe, you can visit 11-13 rescue kitties in our one-of-a-kind Cat Lounge. Included in your time of relaxing with the cats and kittens, you can enjoy endless refills of any of our 4 premium Japanese green teas: Sencha, Hojicha, Genmaicha & Kukicha. You are also welcome to enjoy any other food and drink on our menu in the Cat Lounge.

Our Tea Lounge has a daily selection of tea, coffee, pastries, sweet and savory Belgian waffles, sandwiches, and a view of the Cat Lounge. It’s a quiet and relaxing place to sip tea with friends or work on projects. There are plenty of outlets, and no reservations required. Stop in and say meow (hi)!

Remember the days of Saturday morning cartoons? Not a worry in the world - just you and your big bowl of cereal...

We're bringing back that nostalgia at KitTea and we're making it even better, because we'll be watching cartoons (jammies encouraged) in our Cat Lounge (a zen lounge literally filled with cats and kittens). We'll be streaming cartoons from the 1990's on our big screen and will have a cereal bar setup for you to enjoy all of the classic, sugary, American cereals we consumed as children.

KitTea Cat Cafe Lounges

Felines have inspired many fads, but the recent rise of cat cafes might be the best—and cuddliest—of all. KitTea, at long last, brings the trend to San Francisco, with an open and airy Hayes Valley space.
