2+ Hours and A Movie with the Cats

Commune while watching something fun (on an 80”, HD screen).

You’ll enjoy a little cat time before we begin, then a movie with the cats, and then 20-40 minutes of pure cat time after the movie.

With every ticket comes:

  • 20 - 26 social, cuddly, rescue cats (6-12 of whom are adoptable).

  • Bottomless, heirloom Japanese green teas, hand-picked at our partner farm in Kyoto.

October is all about a thrill:

  • Tue, Oct 1st: “I Am Not Your Negro”

    • 7:20 to 8:55p — movie, cats, tea

    • + extra cat-time (until 9:20-ish)

    • A captivating James Baldwin documentary - a cinematic and philosophical masterpiece. Plus, few things are scarier than systematic oppression.

    • Trailer

  • Tue, Oct 8th: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”

    • 7:20 to 9p — movie, cats, tea

    • + extra cat-time (until 9:20-ish)

    • Trailer — yet another situation that could have been avoided if Brad had just listened to Janet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Tue, Oct 15th: “Edward Scissorhands”

    • 7:20 to 9p — movie, cats, tea

    • + extra cat-time (until 9:20-ish)

    • Johnny Depp has scissors for hands. (Scissors. For. Hands!)

    • “Hold me … “

    • “… I can’t.”

    • Trailer

  • Tue, Oct 22nd: “Get Out”

    • 7:20 to 9p — movie, cats, tea

    • + extra cat-time (until 9:20-ish)

    • Jordan Peele invented a new genre, and this new genre is good.

    • Trailer

When / Where:

In the Cat Lounge, with the cats.

Rescheduling and Refunds for Movie Night:

Due to the nature of this event, tickets can be rescheduled freely with 36 hours of notice. Within 36 hours we try to be as fair as possible.

(But “fair as possible” doesn’t sound like a guarantee?) We believe in doing the right thing even when inconvenient. So, if your having bought tickets didn’t prevent others from buying tickets, we’re typically able to accommodate. If the event is full or nearly full, we’ll try to sell your tickets to others in-person and online; and if that doesn’t work, we’ll still convert it into a free visit, which can be used for events that aren’t likely to fill.

Thanks in advance for understanding — it’s how we’re able to afford Ron’s food. (Sooo chonky).
